A tsunami is a huge sea wave with an enormous length that is caused natural disturbances such as landslides and volcanos eruptions can cause tsunamis. Tsunamis cause a major amount of destruction because of all of the flooding and they also cause water damage. Most people who are affected by tsunamis are drowned because they are close to the coast so and can not escape the speed of the tsunami. The biggest tsunami on record is a tsunami that happened in Lituya Bay, Alaska. This happened in the middle of the night on the 9th of June, 1958. This tsunami was caused by an earthquake along Fairweather Fault in Alaska.
